Science Scouts Family Day 2008

Troop 2 Science Scouts and their families are invited to the annual Science Scouts Family Day! Details of the event are as follows:

• Date: 25 October 2008
• Check-in: 9:30am - 10:30am

Each Science Scout can bring a maximum of 4 guests, one of which must be an adult, preferably a parent. Friends are allowed as long as one other family member is present.

What you can expect on that day:

• Register at our usual counter from 9:30am onwards to get your entry vouchers. Science Scouts need to be in jackets and bring their membership cards for free entry.
• Groups then proceed to our ticketing counter to convert vouchers to tickets.
• With tickets, groups should queue and enter Petrosains via our Dark Ride.
• Enjoy your visit to Petrosains with the Science Scouts as your guide! Ask them questions and get them to show you around.
• Between 11:00am to 1:00pm, drop by our activity room (Metre City) for refreshments, fun family activities, as well as the opportunity to meet and talk to the program facilitators. (The Science Scouts will know how to find this room!).
  
• After your visit to Metre City, you can continue your adventure in Petrosains for a free and easy day of fun science exploration.
  

Highlights in Petrosains:

• Visit our new exhibition, SPARKZ!
  
• We are celebrating World Food Day at Petrosains! There are hourly family challenges at SS1 beginning at 10:30am and there are family workshops at 10:30am, 12:30pm and 3:30pm. Look out for details in the centre.
  

Please note:

- Groups will need to queue to get on the Dark Ride so please be on time to avoid long lines.
- You need to RSVP to the facilitators with number of guests and their names by 20 October 2008.
