Troop 1: Meeting 22 (Last)

Coordinators:
Ain, Ash, Daniel

Activities:
- Circle of Energy:
  • This is an energiser activity to foster team cohesiveness and to encourage bonding.

- Simple Machines:
  • In this activity, Science Scouts worked together to build up a simple machine from the recycled items given such as bottles, thread and rubber band in order to gain Investigating Technology badge.

- Meet Quezzine the Iguana!!:
  • They met eye-to-eye with Quezzine - an iguana and discovered interesting facts about this creature.



The unofficial mascot of the Science Scouts make an appearance!

- Troop Graduation:
  • In the graduation ceremony, the facilitators gave away the certificates and badges to all the scouts.



A bittersweet end to a wonderful first year!

- Ride the hurricane:
  • Science scouts get the chance to try the new exhibit in Energy area – Ride the Hurricane.

Troop 2: Meeting 1

Coordinators:

Activities:
- Circle of Energy:
  • This is an energiser activity to foster team cohesiveness and to encourage bonding.

- Ice Breaking Session:
  • In this activity, Science Scouts get to know each other closer.



Troop 2 all gathered together for the first time, being briefed on the program.



The Science Scouts are in a flurry as they busy themselves with the ice-breaking activity.

- Centre Familiarisation:
  • Science Scouts engaged in the centre familiarisation activity where they have to go from a station to next station and get one of the staff’s signatures.



Science Scouts are tasked to familiarise themselves with the centre by meeting with staff and volunteers and exploring the different areas.

Troop 1: Meeting 21

Coordinators:

Activities:
Family-Get-Together:
  • In this meeting, Science Scouts came together with their family. Complimentary tickets were given to all family members. At the end of the visit, they gathered at our meeting venue for refreshments and parents/guardians engaged in discussions with the program facilitators. In addition, a pictorial slideshow of activities from all the Science Scouts meetings.
