Troop 2: Meeting 5

Coordinators:
Daniel, Ain, Ash, Yati

Activities:
- Circle of Energy:
  • This is an energiser activity to foster team cohesiveness and to encourage bonding.

- Make Your Own Lip Balm:
  • This is an activity in conjunction with Mother’s Day. One of the major issues discussed was the over commercialization of Mother’s Day. One way to curb that is to make your own gift for mothers such as lip balm. The scouts were given a chance to make a natural lip balm using beeswax, coconut oil, olive oil and vitamin E. Then they chose and mixed their own flavour and colour for their lip balm.

- Origami Box:
  • Continuity for the theme over commercialization of Mother’s Day. After discussing the usage of origami principle in technology, the scouts were thought how to make origami boxes to put in their lip balm and to be presented as a gift for their mothers.
