Troop 2: Meeting 4

Coordinators:

Activities:
- Circle of Energy:
This is an energiser activity to foster team cohesiveness and to encourage bonding.

- Land and Sea Ice:
This is an environmental activity that teaches participants about the difference between Artic icebergs and Antarctic ice sheets using mineral water bottles, net and ice.

- Climate Game:
This is an environmental activity where participants in a group do a private discussion with another group to sell or buy ‘penguins’ and ‘polar bear’.

Troop 2: Meeting 3

Activities:
- Circle of Energy:
  • This is an energiser activity to foster team cohesiveness and to encourage bonding.

- Shoe Designers:
  • This is a program designed for the upcoming school holidays.The focus of this activity is to design & create a pair of footwear using ‘trash” (magazines, newspapers, plastic bags, cardboards).



The aspiring shoe designers concentrating hard on realising their shoe designs using everyday materials.

- Green Fingers:
  • This is a trial of a program designed for the upcoming school holidays. This activity is actually a simplified version of the terrarium. Materials used were mineral plastic bottles, pebbles, soil, plant & string.

Troop 2: Meeting 2

Activities:
- Circle of Energy:
  • This is an energiser activity to foster team cohesiveness and to encourage bonding.

- Science Show:
  • The Science Scouts watched a Science Show on Balloons facilitated by Programs at SS1.

- Challenge Hunt:
  • This is an introductory activity that provided Science Scouts an opportunity to familiarise themselves with the Centre. Science Scouts are given a list of questions and they need to hunt for the answers in the centre.



The challenge hunt had Science Scouts sprawled all over the centre!
