Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

To all Science Scouts and their families, we will like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

We hope you're set and kicking for the new school term! Don't forget to check back often for news and updates as Troop 3 will be shifting into first gear soon.

Some photos from the 1st Petrosains Science Scouts Jamboree!

The Science Scouts being briefed before they get on to the SkyBridge at Level 42 of the PETRONAS Twin Towers for a special visit.

At the SkyBridge, we're only at the midpoint of the towers so there's a whole lot more to see up as there is down!

Science Scouts getting into their casual wear and forming groups at the KLCC Park for the wet and wild outdoor activity!

It was a beautiful evening, although slightly damp, and there was no one dry when the games were done!

The night festivities began with prize giving and Science Scout Ummeesh took home the first ever "Science Scout of the Year Award!" for his excellent contribution and performance.

The night continued with a chemistry challenge that tickled and excited.

What do you think they're doing?

Science Scouts getting all suited in their smocks as the night is going to turn a whole lot messier!

And the race began! It was a messy, squishy, gummy, icky, slippery race to the finish!

Science Scout Jude should be thankful only his hands are blue!

The Science Scouts observed how to set up their tents with KAT and a volunteer demonstrating the steps.

These guys did it fast!

Everyone's huddled up by their tent in their pajamas for the late night movie, with popcorn!

The next morning, it took awhile for everyone to get up but slowly they did!

We started the next day with our Circle of Energy...

... and Science Scout of the Year Ummeesh led the pledge!

Then we had prize giving for winners. It was a wonderful Jamboree! Look out for the bigger better one in 2009!

Updates

How's everyone doing? We hope all Science Scouts are making the most of the holidays and being a green citizen of the world!

Here are some updates:

1. Jamboree photos are still being uploaded. It's quite a bit and taking a little longer than expected as the Troop leaders have been busy with other projects. Do be patient!

2. We are sorting through the applications from Troop 2 to continue into Troop 3. We hope to have the list up by January. Don't worry, we haven't forgotten!

3. We will also be opening applications for Troop 3 in January. This will be for new applications so do let your friends know!

What have you been doing during the holidays? Send us an email! Send us some photos! We'll put it up here for everyone to see!
