Troop 2: Meeting 12

Coordinators:

Activities:
- Circle of Energy:
This is an energiser activity to foster team cohesiveness and to encourage bonding.

- EiE Activity:
James Bell facilitated a variation of an EiE Activity (Engineering is Elementary) based on alarm circuits involving story telling, demonstrations, and the engineering design process.

- Worksheet Challenge:
The Science Scouts took part in a Worksheet Challenge that required them to work in groups to solve puzzles and challenges with answers found both in the centre and through group discussion.

Troop 2: A Night At Petrosains

The Science Scouts took part in a special program, themed A Night At Petrosains. They participated in a series of special activities and programs held from 7pm to 11pm. Activities included special Science Shows, movie screenings and centre challenges.

Science Scouts also had the opportunity to visit the newly launched exhibition, SPARKZ in Petrosains.

Together with a wonderful dinner and supper, it was definitely a Night to remember!

- Science Olympics:
  • The Science Scouts took part in a series of challenges as a group and earned points towards medals. The challenges were:

  1. Can Compression Race
  2. Ping Pong Race
  3. Team Conveyor
  4. Wobbly Walk Race
  5. 3-legged Race
