The Petrosains Science Scouts is an innovative after-school program that will let you experience science like never before. Science Scouts will engage in educational and fun hands-on activities while gaining a better understanding of science in an immersive way.
With meetings held on alternate Saturdays from 10am to 1pm, this year-long program offers a rich informal learning experience in science and technology.
This long-term learning engagement and commitment is facilitated by a team which consists of trained and experienced educators who are experts in making the learning of science fun and stimulating!
Whether it’s traveling to the past to learn about the dinosaurs, taking a step into the future to wonder about future sciences, or staying rooted in the present and finding ways to be a green citizen of Planet Earth, the Petrosains Science Scouts will bring the wonders of science to life; a true embodiment of the Petrosains approach.
Recruitment is now open for our third troop in 2009 and a chance to be a Petrosains Science Scout is one not to be missed! With membership capped to a maximum of only 30 Science Scouts annually, be sure to send in your applications before the deadline of 20 February 2009. The first Science Scouts meeting will kick off on March 7 2009.

Applicants must creatively tell us “Why Do You Want To Be A Science Scout?” and this must be attached with the application. You can create a poster, write a story, or take a photo of yourself! Be creative and share with us your reasons!
Successful applications will be required to pay a one-time joining fee of only RM250. This gets you an exciting two-year Science Scouts membership package that allows Science Scouts entry into Petrosains for free*! Successful applicants will also get a starter kit complete with the Petrosains Science Scouts jacket.
